Residential Cleaning Services
Why Clean Your Dryer Vent?
Your dryer is designed to move hot, moist air and lint out of your home through the dryer vent system. Every time you dry clothes, small fibers from your clothing break loose and become lint. The lint screen catches a lot of it — but it does not catch all of it.
Over time, some lint passes through the screen and collects inside the dryer, the vent pipe, elbows, and the outside exhaust hood. As that buildup grows, it restricts the airflow your dryer needs to work properly.
When a dryer vent becomes clogged, your dryer has to work harder and run longer to dry your clothes. This can lead to:
Longer drying times
Higher energy bills
Extra wear and tear on your dryer
Excess heat buildup
Increased risk from a restricted vent system
